Get Your Company Unstuck with a Compelling Vision

Organizational Vision Problems

Most entrepreneurs can clearly see a vision for their business. Their problem is that they assume everyone else in the organization can see it too. Most of the time they don’t, and as a result, leaders end up frustrated, staff become confused, and the company gets stuck in the mud without any traction to move forward.

Corporate vision statements have become popular in recent years, but all too often they stay on a plaque on the wall and never enter the lifeblood of the organization. Successful leaders have compelling visions for their companies and they know how to communicate those visions to the people around them.

Clear Vision Gives Your Business Traction and Direction

Ellyn Davidson, Managing Partner of Brogan & Partners, told us in a video interview how her ad agency wrestled with questions of vision. When she found EOS, she learned how to define her vision and use it to give her company the traction it needed to move forward. “In a snapshot, it tells us where we’re going, what we need to do and what we need to focus on,” she said. “It provides focus and balance in your entire life.”

Are your staff all moving in the same direction? If you met one-on-one with each person in your organization and asked them about the vision of your company, how many different answers would you hear?

Make it your first priority to get everyone in your company to see the same vision of where you’re going and how you’re going to get there. This is the first and most crucial step of creating a business with traction.
