Halfway Point of 2011 - How to Finish Strong

Leadership Organization

Hello all:

We are at the halfway point of the year, and whether you're on track to hit your goals for 2011, well ahead, or a little behind, I offer the following three actions to help you finish the year strong:

1. Do an organizational checkup (click here) to ensure that you're firing on all cylinders and doing the basics well. Most successes are due to executing the basics consistently.

2. Do a thorough review of your 2011 goals with your leadership team. To do this right takes about 30 to 60 minutes. In the meeting, state each goal and confirm that three things are true of each:

  • It is crystal clear to all
  • It is absolutely still the right goal for 2011
  • It is on track to be 100 percent complete by December 31

This will lead to great discussions, debates, clarity, and actions.

3. Project, forecast, and predict the rest of the year well. Up and over reviewing your specific goals, look at financial projections, pipeline forecasts, expense trends, people capacity, and client satisfaction to confirm that you have everything you need and are well-positioned for a strong finish.

Treat the above three actions as a smorgasbord: Take what you want, and leave what you don't. Do one, two, or all three of them to ensure you'll make 2011 a year to be proud of.

Let us know if we can help in any way.

At EOS Worldwide, we now have 28 Implementers around the United States. Traction has sold more than 15,000 copies. The manuscript for the new book Get a Grip is complete and should be published by early 2012.

Thanks for all of your support.

Stay focused,
Gino
