3 Serious Business Owner Obsessions

Written by Gino Wickman | November 22, 2010

I recently learned of a quote from Ray Kroc, the entrepreneur who took over the McDonald’s corporation in 1954 and built it into the most successful fast-food operation in the world. Ray said, “I didn’t invent the hamburger. I just took it more seriously than anyone else.”

Right now, countless companies, including our clients, are thriving in these challenging times, building buildings, managing money, manufacturing goods, fixing computers, running restaurants, managing properties, distributing goods, providing services, and the list goes on. They excel despite numerous competitors, tough economic conditions, and pricing pressures.

Why? Because they take their businesses seriously and run them very well. Ask yourself right now. Are you obsessing over how to do what you do for your customers? Are you:

  • better than anyone
  • faster than anyone, or
  • less expensive than anyone?

You have to be doing at least one of these. I ask you to take some time right now and reflect on which it should be. Then make sure you’re doing it and running your business well.

Please forgive some shameless promotion here, but if you need some help getting what you want from your business, lean on us. To paraphrase Ray Kroc’s quote, we at EOS Worldwide didn’t invent the running of a business; we just take it more seriously than anyone else.

We’re here to help.
